Habib Salau, a Senior Secondary School student of Akoko Anglican Grammar School, in Ondo State has been stabbed in a fight involving a female student named Sandra.
The altercation, which occurred after school hours outside the premises, led to Habib’s death.
According to eyewitnesses, Sandra confessed that the knife used for the attack was provided by a student from Ajiroke Technical School, The Nation reports.
The body of Habib has been deposited at the Specialist Hospital mortuary in Ikare.
Ondo Police Commissioner Abayomi Oladipo confirmed that the case has been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department, stating that a “diligent investigation would be conducted”.
